What is Dexter's Halloween?

Every October we turn our house into a horror walk-through. Scaffolding goes up around our property and next door's, and we transform it into a haunted route full of animatronics, scares and spooky surprises.

People come from all over to brave the walk-through, and it's all in aid of Little Havens Children's Hospice — a children's hospice that provides care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Fire-safety visit from Essex County Fire & Rescue!

Becky Atkin from Essex County Fire & Rescue Service visited to walk through the setup and offer practical fire-safety advice ahead of the event — getting the safety side right matters every bit as much as the scares. Though judging by the photo, the gargoyle completely ignored the briefing!
